Moving Supplies

College Movers, Inc. will supply each customer with the amount of boxes they purchase. If a customer uses less boxes then they purchase, they must return the unused boxes, or the customer will be charged $5.00/box. If more boxes are needed, the customer must pick-up the necessary amount of boxes. College Movers, Inc. will also provide packing tape (one (1) roll/order). If more tape is required, the customer can purchase and either order (for drop-off) or pick-up more tape (price to be determined). Bubble wrap can also be ordered. Bubble wrap will not be provided with a standard order, but can be purchased by the customer (price to be determined).

Shipping

The customer agrees to legibly print their “to and from” address on the labels of each box provided to them. If the customer is using their own packaging, the customer is solely responsible for legibly writing both the “to and from” address on the box. College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable for items shipped to an incorrect address due to incorrect labeled items. College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable for any late timing for pick-up or delivery if the result of a third-party trucking provider (such as U-Haul, Ryder, etc.) with regards to damage, accident, or truck availability. College Movers, Inc. reserves the right to change, add, or cancel dates of pick-up and/or delivery at each school. If the customer is not present for pick-up or delivery, College Movers, Inc. reserves the right to hold or leave items. If items are to be held, the customer will be responsible for the picking up of such items. The customer will be subject to a service charge of 15% of the order amount per day for any items held overnight.

If using a third party carrier, such as UPS, and the customer enters a wrong weight or dimension, the customer will be charged accordingly. Customer agrees to affix only legitimate labels printed from website for every package being shipped. If the customer uses the same label more then once, the customer will be charged for the correct amount of boxes shipped according to each box’s proper weight and/or dimension.

Customer agrees that they cannot pack and/or store any liquid items. Customer will be liable for any damage to their own items, as well as other customer’s items, caused by storing and/or packing liquids, hazardous materials, illegal materials, and firearms. College Movers, Inc. reserves the right to inspect any items in question before storing or shipping.

Coverage

If using a third party carrier for shipping (such as UPS), College Movers, Inc. will not be he held responsible for any damaged boxes during transportation. If using a third party carrier (such as UPS), each shipment (not box) will be covered up to $100. Additional insurance may be purchased through College Movers, Inc. If College Movers, Inc. is the carrier, each box is covered up to $100, unless additional insurance is purchased. If there is no visible damage to the box, College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable, since damage could have occurred before (or during) packing. College Movers, Inc. will inspect all of the boxes received before and after delivery. We ask that any large items (which may be, but not limited to, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, computers, televisions, stereos, etc.) be packaged in their original packaging which is specifically suited for shipping. Any items that are not in its original packaging (ie. mini-refrigerators, microwaves, etc.) will not be covered.

Once items have been delivered in their packaged material, normal wear and tear expected, College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable for any damaged or missing items.

College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable for damage due to poor packing.

Storage

College Movers, Inc. will store each item the customer specifies through eithe collegemoversinc.com or via telephone. Customers must differentiate which items are to be stored and which items are to be shipped back home or to school. College Movers, Inc. will not be held liable for items wrongly stored or shipped due to labeling errors by the customer. If items need to be picked-up by the customer before or after the scheduled delivery dates there will be an applicable service charge. Also, if items are not prepared to be picked-up during the time slot given, there will be an applicable service charge.

Products Sold

College Movers, Inc. will be responsible for shipping items purchased through its online store at collegemoversinc.com. However, College Movers, Inc. will not be held responsible for damage during shipping of items purchased through its online store. Damaged items will be the responsibility of the specified carrier for each individual item. Since some items are bigger and heavier then others, different carriers will be utilized. It is the customer’s responsibility to find out which carrier was used, and to make an applicable claim for any damaged items received from College Movers, Inc.’s online store.

Payments, Cancellations, Late Sign-Up, and Refunds

College Movers, Inc. reserves the right to charge the customer’s credit card for any items and/or services requested. Payment must be made immediately. If paying by check or cash, the payment must be received within ten (10) business days of ordering such services and/or items. Vendors and/or contractors hired by College Movers, Inc. will not accept any money for payment of services and/or products. Any payment given to a vendor and/or contractor hired by College Movers, Inc. will be considered gratuity.

College Movers, Inc. will accept cancellations. As long as cancellations are made 6 weeks prior to pick-up, College Movers, Inc. will issue a 100% refund*. Any cancellations made within the 6 week window, the customer will receive a credit to their account (not a credit to their credit card, cash, or a check). All credits will expire one (1) year from date of issue. Credits are transferable and do not have a cash value. All refunds will be made via the original mode of payment.

If the customer signs up within 10 days of a scheduled pick-up the customer will be subject to a 15% surcharge. This is due to the restructuring of the pick-up and/or delivery schedule.

Since we are not a distributor of the items sold at our on-line store, any problems with purchased items should be brought to the store that the item originated from for proper service and/or return. College Movers, Inc. will assist in any way as an intermediary for the refund, replacement, and/or service needed to remedy the problem.

*If inside the 6 week window, College Movers, Inc. reserves the right to decide if certain circumstances that result in a cancellation will be credited.
